One wall-mounted controller for doors, lockdown, and environmental sensing. Four field-wiring connectors, instant battery failover, and cellular, WiFi, or Ethernet to the FACES2 cloud. Designed and built by Visiontech in Canada.
The controller provides four field-wiring connectors, J1 through J4. Each connector is configured to one of three operating modes, and modes can be mixed across connectors to match the site: all doors, all lockdown, all sensors, or any combination.
Runs the door: readers verify credentials, strikes release, and door position and request-to-exit inputs are monitored.
Turns the connector into an emergency circuit: pull levers trigger the lockdown, and sirens announce it across the facility.
Dedicates the connector to environmental monitoring: RS-485 sensors feed FACES2 Sense for alerts, thresholds, and reporting.
On power failure the system transfers to its 12V 24Ah deep-cycle battery with no interruption, up to 38 hours of standby backup. A built-in battery monitor tracks charge and health, so a failing battery is a service ticket, not a surprise.
If the site's wired internet goes down, the controller fails over to its built-in 5G cellular connection, so cloud communication, alerts, and monitoring stay online until the network returns.
A 348W power system with short-circuit, overload, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection, plus resettable fuses and surge and ESD suppression on field wiring.
Wired Ethernet and RS-485, plus three field-replaceable wireless modules: 5G and LTE cellular with GPS, WiFi 6E with Bluetooth 5.4, and Matter over WiFi and Thread for smart-building devices.
